Bloem: enkel; middelgroot; compact; iets afstaand. Bloembuis: relatief vrij dik; afm; 15 x 8 mm; karmijnroze (52D); donkerder strepen. Kelkbladen: half teruggeslagen; later iets spiraalvormig omgekruld; afm. 40 x 12 mm; buitenkant: karmijnroze aan basis, verlopend naar wit (55C); binnenkant: karmijnroze (55B); de toppen zijn over de halve lengte heldergroen. Kroonbladen: ¼ uitstaand; strak, schelpvormig; afm.: 20 x 15 mm; kleur: lichtviolet (84B), verkleurend tot helder licht purperviolet (80C); basis karmijnroze; bisschopsviolette (81B) rand; rode adering; karmijnroze vlek erlangs. Helmdraad: rood. Helmknop: rood. Stijl: relatief lang; licht roze. Stempel: crème/roze, gelobd. Bloei: zeer mild. Bloeitijd: vrij vroeg; bloeit cyclisch. Knop: langwerpig; punt zijwaarts; mooi getekend; lange groene punt. Blad: middelgroot; afm. 55 x 30 mm; eivormig; puntige top; hartvormige voet; ondiep grof getande rand; kleur: middengroen, bovenkant 137B, onderkant 134C; rode nerf aan basis. Groeiwijze: halfhanger; zelfvertakkend; gebogen takken. Kweekwijze: struik, hanger of stam, voor plaats in gefilterd licht. Bijzonderheden: makkelijk te overwinteren, kan ingekuild worden.

AFS description: ‘WALZ Freule’ - No. 1902. (Waldenmaier, 1985). Single. Trailer. Quarter flared 20mm (3/4") long x 15mm (5/8") wide COROLLA opens dark magenta (58A) maturing to lilac purple (73A) with smooth petal edges. Horizontally held 40mm (1 5/8") long x 12mm (1/2") wide SEPALS are neyron rose (55C) on the upper surface, slightly darker (55B) on the lower surface with recurved tips. Propor- tionately medium 15mm (5/8") long x 8mm (1/4") wide TUBE is carmine rose (52D). STAMENS extend 20mm (3/4") below corolla with spinel red (54A) filaments and slightly lighter (54B) anthers. PISTIL extends 32mm (1 1/4") below corolla with neyron rose (55C) style and pale yellow (8D) stigma. 37mm (1 1/2") x 12mm (1/2") wide BUD. FOLIAGE is mid-green (137B) on the upper surface, spring green (134C) on the lower surface with 55mm (2 1/8") long x 30mm (1 1/8") wide ovate shaped leaves, serrate edges, acute tips and rounded bases. PARENTAGE: 'Amelie Aubin' x un- known. Stiff trailer. Will make a good basket. Prefers overhead filtered light. Best bloom color in filtered light. Certificate of Honor, Dutch Committee of Inspection, Aalsmeer. Tested 3 years in Schaijk, Netherlands and introduced in 1982. Distinguished by profuse blooming and opening color of corolla.
