COROLLA: quarter flared, smooth petal margins; opens & matures
magenta (67B); 12mm (1/2”) long x 19mm (3/4”) wide. SEPALS: half
down; tips reflexed; light orange (41C) upper & lower surfaces; 18mm
(11/16”) long x 10mm(3/8”) wide. TUBE: light pink (49C); medium
length & thickness; 18mm (11/16”) long x 11mm(7/16”) wide.
STAMENS: do not extend below corolla; pink (52D) filaments & anthers.
PISTIL: extends 8mm (5/16”) below the corolla, rose (52C) style; light
yellow (10D) stigma. BUD: small, round, pointed. FOLIAGE: dark green
(137A) upper surface, medium green (137B) lower surface. Leaves are 70mm
(2 3/4”) long x 45mm (1 3/4”) wide, cordate shaped, serrulated edges,
acute tips and rounded bases. Veins are light green; stems &
branches are green. PARENTAGE: [(‘F. magdalenae’ x ‘F. fulgens
grandiflora’) x ‘Wendy van Wanten’] x ‘Prince Syray’.
Medium upright. Makes good upright or standard. Prefers overhead
filtered light. Best bloom and foliage color in bright light. Tested 2
years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Award of Merit, VKC, The Netherlands.
Distinguished by horizontal flowers with thick rounded tube. |
