Single. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flare, round shape, smooth petal
margins; opens & matures red (44A); 20mm (3/4") long x 24mm (15/16")
wide. SEPALS are half down, tips reflexed; reddish orange (43C)
upper surface; dark orange (33A) lower surface; 22mm (7/8") long x
12mm (7/16") wide. TUBE is reddish orange (43C); long & thick; 54mm
(2 1/8”) long x 10mm (3/8") wide. STAMENS extend 15mm (9/16”) beyond
the corolla; pink (49A) filaments; light yellow (5C) anthers. PISTIL
extends 5mm (3/16”) beyond the corolla; pink (49A) style; light
yellow (5C) stigma. BUD is elliptic. FOLIAGE is dark green (137A)
upper surface; medium green (138A) lower surface. Leaves are 90mm (3
9/16") long x 60mm (2 3/8") wide, cordate shaped, serrate edges,
acute tips, rounded bases. Veins are green, stems & branches are
light red. PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Harp’ x (‘F. splendens tetraploid’ x ‘F.
fulgens gesneriana tetraploid’). Tall upright. Makes good upright.
Prefers overhead filtered light. Best bloom & foliage color in
bright light. Tested 3 years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Fuchsia
Nieuwigheden Certificering. Distinguished by bloom color and bloom
size combination. |
