COROLLA: unflared, smooth petal margins; opens & matures rose (52B),
orange base; 15mm (9/16”) long x 18mm (11/16”) wide. SEPALS: full
down; tips reflexed; dark rose (51A) upper surface; rose (52C) lower
surface; 25mm(1”) long x 12mm(1/2”) wide. TUBE: dark rose (51A);
medium length, thick; 21mm (13/16”) long x 12mm(1/2”) wide. STAMENS:
do not extend below corolla; light pink (62B) filaments; yellowish white
(4D) anthers. PISTIL: extends 15mm (9/16”) below the corolla, light
pink (62B) style & stigma. BUD: small, thick & round. FOLIAGE:
dark green (137A) upper surface, medium green (137B) lower surface.
Leaves are 75mm (2 15/16”) long x 45mm (1 3/4”) wide, cordate shaped,
serulated edges, acute tips and rounded bases. Veins are light red;
stems & branches are green. PARENTAGE: ‘Lechlade
Rocket’ x ‘Wendy van Wanten’. Medium
upright. Makes good upright or standard. Prefers overhead filtered light.
Best bloom and foliage color in bright light. Tested 2 years in Herpen,
The Netherlands. Award of Merit, VKC, The Netherlands. Distinguished by
thick, rounded horizontal flower. |
