quarter flared; smooth petal margins, round shape; opens
reddish purple (66B); matures light reddish purple (66C); 18mm
(11/16") long x 22mm (7/8") wide. SEPALS are horizontal, tips
recurved; light yellowish green (149B) upper surface; light
yellowish green (149C) lower surface; 25mm (1") long x 10mm (3/8")
wide. TUBE is dark rose (54A); short & thick; 12mm (7/16”) long x
8mm (5/16”) wide. STAMENS extend 10mm (3/8”) beyond the corolla;
pink (62A) filaments; magenta (67B) anthers. PISTIL extends 25mm
(1”) beyond the corolla; pale rose (73D) style; light yellow (4B)
stigma. BUD is globular. FOLIAGE is dark green (137A) upper surface;
medium green (138A) lower surface. Leaves are 75mm (3”) long x 50mm
(2”) wide, ovate shaped, serrate edges, acute tips, rounded bases.
Veins, stems & branches are green. PARENTAGE: [(tetraploid) F.
splendens x (tetraploid) F. fulgens Gesneriana] x
‘Torville and Dean’. Tall upright. Makes good upright. Prefers
overhead filtered light. Best bloom & foliage color in bright light.
Tested 3 years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden
