AFS description: ‘Herps Tuimelkar’- No 6587 (Waldenmaier) Single. Upright. COROLLA: Half flared, wavy, turned under petal margins; opens violet (75A); matures light reddish purple (72D); 16mm (5/8") long x 12mm (7?16") wide. SEPALS: half down, tips recurved; magenta (63B) tipped light yellowish green (146D) upper surface; dark rose (67C) tipped yellowish green (146D) lower surface; 24mm (15/16") long x 7mm (1/4") wide. TUBE: magenta (61C); medium length & thickness; 12mm (7/16") long x 5mm (3/16") wide. STAMENS extend 6mm (1/4") beyond the corolla; pale violet (76D) filaments; pal lavender (69C) anthers. PISTIL extends 14mm (9/16") beyond the corolla; pale purple (75C) style; pale violet (84D) stigma. BUD is elongated. Foliage is dark green (136A) upper surface; medium green (138B) lower surface. Leaves are 77mm (3 1/6") long x 30mm (1 3/16") wide; lanceolate shaped, serrulate edges, acute tips, acute bases. Veins are plum (185B), stems are plum (185C), branches are plum (185C) & medium green (138B). PARENTAGE: 'Herps Parachute' x 'Citation'. Small upright. Self branching. Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light, cool climate. Best bloom & foliage color in filtered light. Tested 3 years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Meise 9/16/06. Distinguished by bloom shape & color. |
