Single. Upright. COROLLA: no flare, round shape, smooth margins;
opens & matures orange (33B); 20mm (3/4") long x 20mm (3/4") wide.
SEPALS are full down, tips recurved; orangy red (44C), large green
tip, upper surface; orange (30C), large green tip, 20mm (3/4") long
x 11mm (7/16") wide. TUBE is dark rose (48A); medium length & thick;
square shape; 45mm (1 3/4”) long x 10mm (3/8") wide. STAMENS extend
5mm (3/16”) beyond the corolla; light orange (28D) filaments; light
yellow (5C) anthers. PISTIL extends 20mm (3/4”) beyond the corolla;
pale rose (73D) style; light yellow (5C) stigma. BUD is cylindrical.
FOLIAGE is dark green (137A) upper surface; medium green (138A)
lower surface. Leaves are 120mm (4 3/4") long x 60mm (2 3/8") wide,
ovate shaped, serrate edges, acute tips, obtuse bases. Veins, stems
& branches are green. PARENTAGE: ‘WALZ Mandoline’ x (‘F. splendens
tetraploid’ x ‘F. fulgens gesneriana tetraploid’). Tall upright.
Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light. Best bloom &
foliage color in bright light. Tested 4 years in Herpen, The
Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden Certificering. Distinguished by
bloom color and bloom size combination. |
