unflared; smooth petal margins, round shape; opens & matures
light rose (73B); 24mm (15/16") long x 16mm (5/8") wide. SEPALS are
half up, tips recurved up; light yellowish green (150C) upper
surface; pale yellow green (150D) lower surface; 30mm (1 3/16") long
x 10mm (3/8") wide. TUBE is pink (48D); medium length & thickness;
15mm (9/16”) long x 6mm (1/4”) wide. STAMENS extend 10mm (3/8”)
beyond the corolla; rose (65A) filaments; light yellow (10D)
anthers. PISTIL extends 25mm (1”) beyond the corolla; rose (65A)
style; light yellow (10D) stigma. BUD is globular. FOLIAGE is dark
green (137A) upper surface; medium green (138A) lower surface.
Leaves are 80mm (3 3/16”) long x 55mm (2 3/16”) wide, ovate shaped,
serrate edges, acute tips, rounded bases. Veins, stems & branches
are green. PARENTAGE: [(tetraploid) F. splendens x (tetraploid)
F. fulgens Gesneriana] x ‘Torville and Dean’. Medium upright.
Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light. Best bloom &
foliage color in bright light. Tested 3 years in Herpen, The
Netherlands. Fuchsia Nieuwigheden Certificering. Distinguished by
large pink colored flags on flower anthers. |
