Kelkbladen: iuets neergeslagen met omgebogen toppen; buitenkant: rood (52B); binnenkant: licht rozerood met donkerrode top (52C, top 53A); afm. 21 x 10 mm. Kroonbladen: kwart uitstaand; afm. 14 x 17 mm.; kleur: lilarood (52A). Helmdraad: roze; steekt 3 mm onder kroonblad uit. Helmknop: geel. Stijl: roze; steekt 0 mm onder kroonblad uit. Stempel: geel. | AFS description: ‘Herps Zwierbol’ – No 8469 (Waldenmaier 2014) Single. Upright. COROLLA: quarter flared; smooth petal margins round, shape; opens & matures red (52A); 14mm (9/16") long x 17mm (5/8") wide. SEPALS are half down, tips reflexed; rose (52B) upper surface; rose (52C) tipped dark red (53A) lower surface; 21mm (13/16") long x 10mm (3/8") wide. TUBE is red (52A); medium length, thick; 17mm (5/8") long x 10mm (3/8”) wide. STAMENS extend 3mm (1/8”) beyond the corolla; pink (52D) filaments; light yellowish orange (19C) anthers. PISTIL does not extend beyond the corolla; pink (52D) style; yellow (10C) stigma. BUD is bulbous. FOLIAGE is dark green (137A) upper surface; medium green (138A) lower surface. Leaves are 65mm (2 9/16”) long x 50mm (2”) wide, ovate shaped, serrate edges, acute tips, rounded bases. Veins, stems & branches are green. PARENTAGE: [(tetraploid) F. splendens x (tetraploid) F. fulgens Gesneriana] x ‘Herps Ballade’. Medium upright. Makes good upright. Prefers overhead filtered light.
