(Waldenmaier, 1989) Single. Upright. Three quarter flared 22mm
(7/8") long x 20mm (3/4") wide COROLLA is reddish purple (74B)
with smooth to wavy petal edges. Horizontally held 31mm (1 1/4")
long x 9mm (3/8") wide SEPALS are red (52A)/dark rose (55A) with
large yellowish green (145A) recurved tips. Proportionately medium
length 23mm (7/8") long x 11mm (3/8") wide light pink
(49C)/red (52A) conical TUBE is proportionately thick and is wider at
ovary than at sepal base. STAMENS extend 15mm (5/8") below corolla
with pink filaments and yellow anthers. PISTIL extends 30mm (1
1/8") below corolla with light pink style and pink stigma.
Horizontally held blooms. FOLIAGE is mid- to dark green with 90mm (3
1/2") long x 40mm (1 5/8") wide ovate shaped leaves, serrate
edges, acute tips and rounded bases. Veins, stems and branches are red.
PARENTAGE: (F.magdalenae x F.fulgens
var. rubra grandiflora) x 'Royal Purple'. Tall upright or
standard. Prefers overhead filtered light to full sun with best bloom
