Upright. Quarter
flared 20mm (3/4") long x 15mm (5/8") wide COROLLA is spinel
red (54A) with smooth recurved petal edges.
Horizontally held 33mm (l l/4") long x 8mm (l/4") wide
SEPALS are scarlet (43D) on the upper surface, shrimp red (33C) on the
lower surface with recurved tips. Proportionately
medium length thick 13mm (l/2") long x 8mm (l/4") wide TUBE is
azalea pink (38A). STAMENS
extend l0mm (3/8") below corolla with pink (55A) filaments and red
(53B) anthers. PISTIL
extends 30mm (l l/8") below corolla with pink (55C) style and
purple (8lB) stigma. BUD is
45mm (l 3/4") long x 15mm (5/8") wide.
FOLIAGE is mid-green (l37C)
on the upper surface, slightly lighter (l38B) on the lower surface with
50mm (2") long x 30mm (l l/8") wide ovate shaped leaves,
serrate edges, acute tips and rounded bases.
Veins, stems and branches are green.
