Double. Upright/trailer. Half flared bell shaped 18mm (3/4") long x
22mm (7/8") wide COROLLA opens reddish purple (74A) maturing
slightly redder with smooth petal edges. Horizontally held 27mm (1
1/16") long x 9mm (3/8") wide SEPALS are magenta (57A) on the
upper surface, red (52A) on the lower surface with recurved tips.
Proportionately medium 38mm (1 1/2") long x 6mm (1/4") wide
magenta (57A) TUBE is proportionately long. STAMENS extend 5mm
(1/8") beyond corolla with red filaments and anthers. PISTIL
extends 15mm (5/8") beyond corolla with dark red style and red
stigma. 60mm (2 3/8") long x 15mm wide BUD. FOLIAGE is yellowish
green (146B) with 100mm (3 7/8") long x 50mm (2") wide
elliptic shaped leaves, serrate edges, acute tips and bases. Veins,
stems and branches are red. PARENTAGE: (F.magdalenae
x F.fulgens rubra grandiflora) x 'Maori Maid'. Lax upright or stiff
trailer. Prefers overhead filtered light with best bloom color in bright
light. Award of Merit, VKC Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. Tested 4 years in
Schaijk, The Netherlands. Distinguished by: bloom color and tube length.
