1985). Single. Upright. Quarter flared 15mm (5/8") long x wide COROLLA opens
signal red (43A) with smooth petal edges.
Half up 27mm (1 1/16") long x 9mm (3/8") wide SEPALS
are carmine (52B) on the upper surface, light pink (55D) on the lower
surface with recurved tips. Proportionately
medium 25mm (1") long x 10mm (3/8") wide TUBE is carmine rose
(52C). STAMENS extend 20mm (3/4") below corolla with neyron rose
(55B) filaments and spinel red (54B) anthers.
PISTIL extends 30mm (1 1/8") below corolla with spinel red
style and light yellow (11C) stigma.
45mm (1 3/4") long x 12mm (1/2") wide BUD.
FOLIAGE is emerald green (134A) on the upper surface, lighter
(134C) on the lower surface with 60mm (2 3/8") long x 45mm (1
3/4") wide ovate leaves,
entire edges, acute tips and rounded bases.
PARENTAGE: 'Chang' x unknown. Lax upright.
Prefers full sun. Best
bloom color in bright light. Certificate
of Honor, Dutch Committee of Inspection, Aalsmeer.
Requires topping. Tested
3 years in Schaijk, Netherlands and introduced in 1982.
Distinguishing features: richer blooming and shaping possible
than with parent.
