COROLLA: quarter flared, smooth petal margins; opens & matures
reddish purple (61B); 13mm (1/2”) long x 16mm (5/8”) wide. SEPALS:
horizontal; tips recurved; pink (62A) upper & lower surfaces; 28mm(1
1/8”) long x 10mm(3/8”) wide. TUBE: pink (62A); short, medium
thickness; 9mm (3/8”) long x 9mm(3/8”) wide. STAMENS: extend 15mm
(9/16”) below corolla; rose (52B) filaments; rose (52C) anthers.
PISTIL: extends 30mm (1 3/16”) below the corolla, rose (52C) style;
yellow (10B) stigma. BUD: round, pointed. FOLIAGE: dark green (137A)
upper surface, medium green (137B) lower surface. Leaves are 65mm (2
9/16”) long x 45mm (1 3/4”) wide, cordate shaped, wavy edges, acute
tips and rounded bases. Veins are light green, stems & branches are
green. PARENTAGE: (‘WALZ Polka’ x ‘WALZ Blauwkous’) x ‘Prince
Syray’. Small upright. Makes good upright or standard. Prefers
overhead filtered light. Best bloom color in bright light. Tested 3
years in Herpen, The Netherlands. Award of Merit, VKC, The Netherlands.
Distinguished by slightly erect flowers; highly visible pistil and
stigma. |
